Meet Our Principal
Prior to his role as Principal, Mr. Kelley spent a year as a Principal Intern with the Noble Network and served in various administrative capacities at UIC College Prep and Muchin College Prep. In addition, Mr. Kelley was a founding teacher at Rauner College Prep, where he taught for four years and graduated his advisory. In his time at Rauner, Mr. Kelley served as the 9th Grade Team Leader and supported the Freshman teachers in their work.
In between Rauner and being a Principal, Mr. Kelley lived and taught in Mexico City for one year at the American School Foundation A.C. Living in Mexico, Mr. Kelley learned to speak Spanish at a conversational level and appreciate the culture of the city.
Mr. Kelley began his career as a Teach For America corps member in 2002 at Central High School in Helena, Arkansas. He taught Junior English at Central for three years, along with running a Digital Music club after school.
In 2002, Mr. Kelley graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in Sociology. During his time at Rauner, Mr. Kelley also earned a Masters in School Leadership from Teachers College at Columbia University in 2009.
